Scoreboard - 2 Teams
Privacy Policy
Edwin Chan (“I,” “me,” or “the developer”) provides Scoreboard - 2 Teams (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use the App, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information processed by the App
Information stored on your device
Scoreboard settings, game state, score history, tournament information, custom sounds, and profile images may be stored locally on your device. This information supports the features you choose to use. Deleting the App generally removes locally stored App data, subject to device backups and Apple’s operating-system behavior.
Diagnostics and usage information
The App uses analytics and diagnostic services that may process information such as app interactions, session information, crash logs, performance data, device model, operating-system version, app version, approximate location derived from an IP address, and technical identifiers. This information is used to understand feature usage, diagnose errors, maintain security, and improve the App.
Advertising information
The free version of the App may display advertising supplied by Google AdMob. Depending on your region, consent choices, device settings, and Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission, advertising services may process device and advertising identifiers, IP address, ad interactions, diagnostics, and approximate location to deliver, measure, limit, and protect advertising. If tracking permission is denied, the App does not receive permission to access Apple’s advertising identifier for cross-app tracking. You can review available advertising privacy choices from the Privacy option in Scoreboard Settings.
Purchases and subscriptions
Purchases are processed by Apple. Scoreboard uses RevenueCat to manage subscription status and purchase entitlements. RevenueCat may process an app-specific user identifier, transaction and subscription information, device information, and diagnostic data. The developer does not receive your complete payment-card information.
Device permissions and nearby connectivity
When you choose features that require them, the App may request access to the local network, Bluetooth, microphone, camera, or photo library. These permissions support features such as device-to-device remote control, custom audio, and profile images. You can change these permissions in the device’s Settings app. Scoreboard remote-control traffic is intended to operate between nearby devices and is not used to build an advertising profile.
Third-party service providers
The App uses the following providers, which process information under their own privacy policies:
- Google — AdMob, consent management, Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics.
- RevenueCat — subscription and entitlement management.
- Microsoft — Microsoft Clarity usage and interaction analytics.
These providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live, subject to their contractual safeguards and applicable law.
How information is used
- Provide and maintain App features.
- Remember settings and game information.
- Process purchases and identify premium entitlement status.
- Display, measure, and protect advertising where applicable.
- Understand usage, diagnose failures, prevent abuse, and improve performance.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce applicable terms.
Sharing and sale of information
I do not directly sell your personal information for money. Information may be shared with the service providers listed above so they can perform services for the App, when you direct the App to communicate with another device, when required by law, or to protect users, the App, and legal rights. Some advertising activity may be considered “sharing,” “targeted advertising,” or a “sale” under certain privacy laws; where required, the App presents consent choices or relies on your device privacy settings.
Retention and deletion
Locally stored information remains until you delete it within the App, reset the relevant feature, or delete the App, subject to device backups. Third-party providers retain information according to their own policies and configured retention periods. To request deletion of information controlled directly by the developer, contact me using the address below. I may need enough information to identify the relevant data, and in some cases I may not be able to associate third-party or anonymous diagnostic information with you.
Your choices
- Change App permissions in your device’s Settings.
- Allow or deny tracking through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt.
- Open Scoreboard Settings to access advertising privacy choices when available.
- Purchase an eligible premium subscription to use the App without advertising, where offered.
- Delete locally stored content or uninstall the App.
Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to me, please contact me so I can investigate and take appropriate action.
Security
I use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information. However, no storage or transmission method is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the App, service providers, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
